Acclaim - How to move data on the Network

Steps to follow when moving data to a Network:

All Payroll data is stored under *.cpy folder, usually this folder is under c:\Paymatew\ directory.

1. To move data on the network/server create a new shared folder on the network. For example   [\\server\Paymatedata|file://\\server\Paymatedata]
2. Copy/paste ONLY your company’s data folder to this new location. (.CPY folder)
3. Start Acclaim on the computer that has current version of the program.
4. Select Company.
5. Click on Setup and select Preferences. Under the General tab change the Working Directory to the location of the company data on the server hard drive. For example  [\\server\Paymatedata|file://\\server\Paymatedata]

Adding a new workstation:

1. Install Paymate program on the new workstation (download the program from http://customer.paymatesoftware.com/ and log in using your six-digit user name or Customer ID and password.
2. Start program using Evaluation option.
3. Select Demo company (no password, just click OK)
4. Click on Setup and select Preferences. Under the General tab change the Working Directory to the location of the company data on the server hard drive. For example [\\server\Paymatedata|file://\\server\Paymatedata]  Save changes.
5. Now each of the Workstation will have access to the same data.
6. Maximum computers that can access Paymate Acclaim in a Network configuration on a single license is 3.
