Setting up EHT in Paymate Acclaim

Problem:
I just noticed that I have not been calculating EHT on my employees payrolls.
Solution
Cause:
Paymate Acclaim is not setup to automatically calculate EHT. Below are instructions for setting up an EHT category.
Solution:
NOTE: Paymate Acclaim is unable to detect when to begin calculating the EHT (i.e. when the employee reaches $25,000). You will have to keep track of this manually.

Steps:
- Go to Setup
...
- > Payroll Categories.
...
- Select ‘ADD’, and choose ‘Payroll Tax’

- Choose a unique Item Number
...
- In description, put in EHT
...
- Choose an appropriate abbreviation, or use EHT
...
- Choose the appropriate province
...
- Specify the applicable percentage
When the company reaches the level at which the EHT should begin calculating (600,000 [2010 Ontario figure]), you will need to add this Payroll Tax category to your system.
